Newsletter- April meeting minutes

Camden Photo Club Meeting Minutes from April 18, 2011 Next Meeting. Our next meeting will be Monday, May 16, 2011 at 7:00 pm, in the Fine Arts Center on Lyttleton Street in Camden. Mike's cell # is 803 422 5894. Please let your friends know about the club and invite them along. Mike will present HDR techniques. He will also be sending along a link for a free HDR trial download a week before the meeting in case you wantto bring your laptop to follow along. Meeting Minutes Once again, we had a good turnout for our meeting, with 13 members present and our newest prospective member, Kristen Connell. Displaying Photographs in the Fine Arts Center. Each member may hang two photographs at a time. The size must be limited to 8x10 with a maximum size of 14x17, if the photograph is framed. Website. New subject entries to go thru Karin. The Blog will be used for announcements. Our Flickr page is to be used for photo and subject matter discussions. We encourage gentle critique of the photograps on the Flickr page, as well as at our meetings. Presentation. Peggy gave an outstanding demonstration on using textures and layers to enhance photographs. Thanks Peggy!!!!!!!!! Member's Photographs. The subject of this month's photograph was "water". Some great shots were shown and discussed May's Photograph. The subject for the May photograph is "Birding". When you submit your photographs to Mike they must be in JPEG format. Again, please send only TWO per month - one of the monthly subject and one open category photo of your choosing that can be anything/anytime/anywhere. The monthly subject photograph should be a new/current photograph. Either of these photographs can be ones that you would like the club members to analyze and provide helpful comments for improvements or artistic ideas. Walk-About. The next walk-about will be on Saturday, April 30th, at Liberty Hill. We will meet at 7:15 am, at the River Deck store (across the bridge when coming from Camden) on Hwy 97. Car pool will leave from the Tack Room parking lot at 6:45am.
